Gator Information Technologies Inc. was born out of the effort to meet the information and project management needs of DEC Design Mechanical Consultants Ltd. DEC design had found itself in a situation experienced by many companies. Over time it had acquired a variety of software systems in an effort to meet the various data management needs of the business intent on taking advantage of computing power to enhance their office efficiency. Unfortunately, the systems didn't necessarily communicate with each other, making for frustrating redundancies. The answer was somewhat daunting, to create a system that would provide the variety of necessary functions in one integrated software system. The process was long and demanding but the Gator team was successful in creating a system tailored to DEC's needs. Unlike the approach used in the research and development of most such programs, the Gator project management system was born in the "trenches" not in the laboratory, and the results were outstanding. One of the most significant contributions of the Gator team was the project management system's ability to perform in a web-based environment rather than being limited to local terminals. Now the staff in the field could access the web for instant access to all project related information. Gator Information Technologies Inc. was incorporated in 2003 and now provides similarly innovative information management services to a variety of clients, regularly demonstrating its facility in assessing needs and designing efficient custom systems. It has expanded available products and services to include; support of its products, Gator ProjectPro, Gator LiveReg, and Gator WEBAdmin, and hosting, Email, and consulting services. The Gator team combines over 20 years of experience in the information technology industry and with its expertise in SQL, MySQL, ASP, PHP, XML, and other systems is highly flexible in meeting the needs of its clients. |
